Culture, business and tourism are tied to hospitality, making visitors feel welcome and putting them in a good mood – that drives me. Our projects differ a lot and each new one brings knowledge and know-how. It takes great planning to bring together the thousands of details that each project consists of.

I follow my gut feeling – if something sparks my interest, I dive in whole-heartedly. Communication, challenges, and diverse tasks with an international and cultural dimension is what makes me strive. Stepping out of the comfort zone is the key to self-development.

Winning tenders and competitions brings on a great sense of happiness and satisfaction for me. What I like about working in Motor is the chance to create new experiences from zero. I get to have say in which projects we take on and execute them as well.

In my job, most important is the end result. Process defines the outcome and it is exciting to see the ideas come to life during the course of a project. In Motor, I have been able to experience important beginnings and finish lines.

Moonika Olju

Project Manager (on maternity leave)

There isn’t a boring day in Motor. Each project is a unique challenge of how to present the given topic in an innovative and intriguing way. The field in which Motor operates advances in light speed and the competition is high – we need to be able to offer something new with every project.

Karilin Tõnisoja

Graphic Designer

Each project is a separate world that requires creating of a whole new environment. I like making the world a better place by designing engaging and user-friendly spaces for different target groups, users and visitors.

I like creating a visual system that carries the values of brand or product while being distinct, memorable and unique. Projects in Motor have offered me chances to try different illustration styles and play around with animation.

Erik Heinpalu

Graphic Designer

Design is intriguing because there is always a way to go simpler and say more with less. Through design I can create something that is universally comprehensible yet unobtrusive – a visual language that speaks to every observer.

Veiko Salumäe

Product Development Engineer

I’ve always been fond of all sorts of gadgets and I’ve taken appart and reassembled everything from home appliances to industrial equipment. Even more interesting is desinging the devices on my own, and there is nothing better than to see a machine working that I myself created.

Kristo Reisner

Exhibition Technician

My job is also my hobby and has interested me my whole life. In Motor, I have been able to do things I wouldn’t venture into on my own. Prior to my job here, I fixed cars for 15 years, so every project I do is new and interesting.

Kilian Ochs

With my background in media art, I have been developing electronic sculptures for years. It has been a fascination of mine as long as I can remember. Motor gives me the opportunity to apply my knowledge in electronics and programming to design projects on a larger scale than ever before.

Lauri Laasik

Film and Multimedia Post Production Specialist

My field of work is both creative and requires technical thinking, which is something that I really enjoy about it. Motor creates innovative and interesting solutions, and projects such as EXPO 2000 Hannover, Suurgild and the opening ceremony of European Capital of Culture have been the most memorable for me.

Maigi Koplimets

Head of Office

I started the job in 2003 and had no prior experience with it. First years were a bit of a learning curve, but after 17 years on the job I feel I am familiar with all there is to know about managing an office. For me, stability is a positive thing and I don’t dread routine.

What attracted me to my field of work is the experience of forming great ideas into physical form with my hands. Building something that lasts from scratch to the final details is gratifying. The people in Motor are colourful, determined, energetic and charismatic.

Herkki Särkinen

I have extensive work experience in my field, but I’m always up for learning something new. I like sharing the knowledge and skills that I have been able to develop so far, and all the different and unqiue projects in Motor allow me to do that.

Ivo Metsmaa

Ivo Metsmaa

Woodwork Specialist

I enjoy my work because it is never routine – each project is a new challenge. Working on projects such as Proto prior to which I had no experience with exhibitions was especially challenging, but I was very happy with the result. Finishing something I worked hard on is a great feeling.

Ahti Lill

Exhibits Craftsman

Instead of me choosing the profession, the profession chose me and I enjoy everything that comes with it. The most important is not the finish line of the project but the process of getting there. That is what I think is the most rewarding.
